Welcome back to the final episode in this first part of the Australian Simmental Association podcast. Over the past 8 episodes, we’ve sat down with various people that have been integral in shaping the breed into what it is today while also being a big part of the future opportunities for the breed.
This week we’re sitting down with Cam Emerson and later in the episode we’re joined by his wife Carol.
Cam and his wife Carol have spent most of their life living off the family property which is located near Coleraine in South-west Victoria.
Cam had a successful career with the Swire Group, however when his brother passed away in 2003, Cam and Carol made the decision to return home and continue the family’s farming interests. In our chat, Cam shares more about the family business, his life and career with the Swire Group and the family’s ongoing involvement with the Simmental breed.
